No tool wins on every axis, and pretending otherwise would make the rest of this page worthless. These are the places where PlanITpoker does something SprintsPoker does not.
It manages a backlog, not just a vote
Stories are added to the room, reordered, revisited for a second estimate, and imported in bulk from CSV or XML. If your refinement session is a list of thirty items you want to work through and keep, that structure does real work.
It imports from Jira
You authorise PlanITpoker against your Jira site once, then search and import issues into a room, and each story keeps a link back to the original issue. SprintsPoker has no Jira integration at all.
Rooms can be secured to an account
Registering is optional, but the site presents accounts as the way to keep a room yours across sessions rather than creating a fresh one each time.
Where SprintsPoker differs
No participant cap to plan around
SprintsPoker allows up to 50 participants in a room, on the only plan there is. PlanITpoker publishes a seven-participant limit on its free plan, which is under the size of a lot of scrum teams once the product owner and a tester join.
Nothing is behind a plan
There is no paid tier on SprintsPoker, so there is no feature that appears in a comparison table and then turns out to need a subscription. That also means no invoicing, no seat counting and nothing to cancel.
The estimation maths is documented
Agreement is the share of voters who picked the most common card; question mark and coffee cards count towards agreement but are excluded from the average, median and range. Sessions export to Markdown, CSV or JSON.
Which one to pick
